My reward

It's funny how little things can completely brighten your day, isn't it? Every Wednesday morning, our day starts out as absolute chaos as I frantically try to get all three munchkins fed, dressed (which is the biggest battle), bundled up, in car seats, and to Isabella's ballet class before it starts at 9:00 am, which usually includes a stop to drop Avery off at "Granny's" house (my grandma) where he likes to play while we're there. Most weeks, we arrive, frazzled, about 9:00 or 9:02 and this drives me NUTS, because once we get in there, Princess Slowascanfreakingbelollygagger (I know...it's hereditary...I had it coming, but still!) still has to undress and get her ballet slippers on before she actually goes into the studio. Whew! Once she's in there, then I attempt to watch her and Elise, who likes to toddle around some and actually on pretty great behavior considering ballet class overrides morning nap time. Then after class, we've still got to get Princess Slowascanfreakingbelollygagger BACK into her clothes and get Little Miss Screamlikethereisanaxemurdererbecausewintercoatsareevil back into her winter coat all the while everyone is staring and trying to figure out what has suddenly posessed my sweet baby, while I wrestle her and try to justify it by the fact that she's not had her nap and hates coats. Needless to say, after all that I'm ready for a drink...and since Margaritas are not appropriate at 10:15 am, I like to treat myself to Starbucks once in a while. It's my prize for surviving, not blowing my lid in front of anyone, and this week- for actually making it there ON TIME!!

And, why did I take pictures of a coffee cup? A.) because I felt like it, B.)the kids were sleeping, and besides, the cup can't run away, and C.)I was bored. (And by "bored", I mean, not wanting to do dishes, laundry or cleaning).

Thanks for the morning laugh. And SERIOUSLY I wouldn't think anything of you for having a margarita before noon. After all, you deserve it! Although caffeine can sometimes take the "edge" off:)

That was good. I can so relate. There is no way I'd make a 9AM class as 11 seems hard enough for me some Monday's. Someday we'll look back and wish we had these moments back again..

I agree with Steph...margaritas before 10:15 are just fine. :) But a starbucks does the trick for me too. :) Thanks for the laugh. And by the way...that is my definition of being bored too. :)

When you get to the point of locking yourself in your bedroom for a few minutes just to calm down and relax, then give me a call. Cute blog !
